Giardia lamblia and Tritrichomonas foetus are common parasites. The former mainly causes intestinal infections, leading to symptoms such as diarrhea, while the latter can cause chronic diarrhea and reproductive system infections. This reagent can simultaneously identify the two parasites, shorten the diagnosis time, and help veterinarians quickly diagnose and formulate corresponding treatment plans.

Clinical Application:

· Rapid and Accurate Diagnosis:
After animals are infected with Giardia, it may cause symptoms such as diarrhea, indigestion, and weight loss. However, these symptoms lack specificity, as similar manifestations can also occur in other intestinal diseases. Veterinary nucleic acid detection reagents can directly detect the nucleic acid of Giardia in samples such as animal feces, quickly and accurately determining whether an animal is infected with Giardia, thus greatly improving the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosis. For example, when pets like dogs and cats show diarrhea symptoms, the use of nucleic acid detection reagents can quickly determine whether the infection is caused by Giardia.

· Distinguishing Infection Stages and Strains:
Nucleic acid detection reagents can not only determine whether an animal is infected with Giardia but also, to a certain extent, distinguish different infection stages of Giardia and different strain types through the analysis of nucleic acid sequences. This is of great significance for understanding the disease progression and judging the possible sources of transmission. For instance, some strains may be more pathogenic. After distinguishing them through detection, more targeted treatment and prevention measures can be taken.

· Drug Resistance Research:
By testing infected animals from different regions with different medication histories, analyzing the changes in the nucleic acid sequences of Giardia, and searching for gene loci or mutations that may be related to drug resistance, it helps to understand the drug - resistance mechanism of Giardia, providing theoretical support for the development of new therapeutic drugs and the optimization of treatment plans.
