Pigeon paramyxovirus disease, also known as pigeon Newcastle disease, is a highly contagious and severe infectious disease caused by pigeon type I paramyxovirus.

Sick pigeons usually show listlessness and loss of appetite. In terms of the nervous system, they exhibit neurological symptoms such as head - twisting and neck - tilting. In the digestive system, there are phenomena such as vomiting and diarrhea. Moreover, the spread of this disease is extremely rapid. It can spread rapidly in pigeon coops through the feces, saliva and other secretions of sick pigeons. It has a high fatality rate and poses a great threat to pigeon flocks.
